Measuring GuideMeasuring Your Wrist SizeOnly for customers who believe their wrist size may be outside the standard range for most bracelets, you can get an approximate measurement of your wrist for custom orders to by using a soft seamstress-style measuring tape. If you don't have a soft measuring tape but have a yardstick, ruler or stiff metal measuring tape, you could wrap a ribbon around your wrist at the wrist bone, mark the spot where it meets, and then lay it against the yardstick or metal measuring tape to determine your approximate wrist size. If you do not have a measuring tape handy, we have provided a printable Bracelet Measurer for your convenience. NOTE: To view this type of document, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer. To correctly print out this sizing tool to the right size, make sure your print options are set to print the page at 100% normal size, with no Shrinking or Expanding of page to fit the page. Since screen resolution and printer settings vary for every user, these measurements are only approximate. Not sure where to measure on your wrist? You simply print out the Bracelet Measurer, cut it out, and tape it together to form a measuring tape. Then you simply wrap it around your wrist at the wrist bone and mark where it meets to get your approximate wrist measurement. Usually, wrists at or within 3 inches less than the standard bracelet diameter will fit most standard bracelets.
Determining Your Approximate Bracelet Size RangeAfter you have measured the basic diameter of your wrist, add 3/4" to 1" to that measurement in order to give you some movement and flexibility. Remember that some bracelets fit differently. This measurement should be within the size range of the bracelet. Note that depending on the style of clasp; some give you a trifle more space. Choosing Chain Lengths for WomenConsider where the wearer is likely to wear the necklace and the clothing that is likely to be worn with it. Some women may wear different lengths for different occasions and seasons. A choker style may look wonderful with a cocktail dress with a scooped neckline but may not fit over a turtleneck sweater. Many women opt for longer necklaces in the winter as bulky clothing may require the extra length. Take the wearer's size into account. A 24 inch necklace on a petite woman may hang down too far just as the same necklace may be ideal for a larger woman. In general, the shorter the necklace, the more important the size. Necklaces that are too short may not fit at all.
